Grow to Learn mini-grants support the growth and ongoing sustainability of school learning gardens in New York City. Grants are awarded twice a year (once in the fall, once in the spring) and fund projects costing between $500 and $2,000. Grants fund any type of school learning garden, and are typically used to pay for the construction or expansion of an outdoor or indoor growing space. Grow to Learn mini-grants are generously supported by Green Mountain Energy and the NYC Department of Education’s Sustainability Office.
